I had a big win at second singles, 6-2 6-0. to give our first singles player(danny wilson) a break, I played first singles agaisnt coon rapids. danny played first doubles. I won 6-1 6-0 and we clinched the tournament with a 6-1 victory. it was pretty tight. I am kind of tired, but all of my matches were really easy. I didnt even have to take off my warm-ups. peace.

Perennials

Just to explain Nancy's joke--I spent part of my birthday helping my friend Kris plant some perennials in her huge suburban yard. What Nancy doesn't know is when I arrived home, I found a trail of hostas in pots with the following signs (hosta names are in bold):

Zounds and gadzooks! Teresa is 50 today!
A girl who has always been So Sweet
And a Golden Drop of sunshine in our family
Deserves a Diamond Tiara on her birthday
And a day of Regal Splendor!
Happy 50th, Tess!
Love, Bev and Dick, Ann and Aguie
P.S. I really liked the hosta Striptease but wanted to keep the verse respectable!

Happy Birthday, Teresa! April 29, 2004

Instead of having an annual birthday this year you had a perennial birthday. Hope it was happy. See you soon. I missed the actual day by 59 minutes. Happy birthday!!!

Caprice

We said goodbye to a long time member of our family the other day, Aunt Gloria's 1986 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. It served us well traveling 166, 000 miles including to the East coast, Atlanta twice, to the top of Pike's Peak and countless trips to Illinois. It was stolen and smashed up in 1992 but we had it fixed up and drove it over 100,000 more miles. It has been donated to the Roosevelt Auto department and the engine will soon be transplanted into a 64 chevy.

the computering saga continues

I know I just posted something yesterday and nobody has posted anything since, but I am excited! today I went to the U of M for my college in the schools class. it was really boring. after the lecture and stuff we went and got our college I.D.'s. mine is especially cool. when I got home today I used my student ID number to register for an account or whatever. so basically what I am tryin to say is, we now have two usernames for the whole family. what a deal. peace.

hi

norrie and I went to the twins game. it was kind of boring because they were losing the whole game but then they won it in the end. the ending was really exciting. then we went to mcdonalds. it was soooo good.

so anyways, I need money. the south high tennis team is going through some tough times. we need to raise money for our assistant coach, danny kantar. we are having a serve-a-thon to raise money. I will be hitting 100 serves on friday the 30th. if anyone wants to pledge 1 cent for each serve that would be one dollar. I appreciate any support that you might give, either through prayer or financially. but dont worry about it. its all good. I dont really care too much about it. anyways, I guess i will see you all on sunday. peace.

Old News, New York....

Finally got around to scanning in (yeah, I know, scanned-in photos, how 20th century...) a picture from our New York trip:

Here's Emily, Liv and Mae after we had a nice lunch at Max's Cafe near Columbia.
