I returned today from a diversity training retreat for the student government of our school. It was very good, and I believe productive. I am a member of the Diversity Task Foce which has been given the charge of implementing the school's multicultural vision statement which the board of trustees passed in October. There are some exciting changes coming to our school and it's overall outlook which I won't be here to enjoy because I will graduate in May.

I too was saddened to see the news of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Hope everyone is well! Chicago has warmed its way out of a bitter cold we suffered for a few days.

I turned on the TV this morning to see the tragic news of the accident of the Space Shuttle Columbia. 7 lives wiped out in a horrible turn of events. By all accounts they were a wonderful group of people, some of them with families and all of them with loved ones around the world. I'll pray for their loved ones as they go through this hard time..

Well, I am back from San Antonio... it's nice not to be jet-lagged! I LOVED San Antonio... the conference was in a hotel right on the Riverwalk and I could see the Alamo from my window. Everyone was very friendly and the city had a unique atmosphere. In my few free hours I bought more than I did in nine days in London!
I think he is just going so fast that it looks like he is flying....

Dad, I didn't know your recumbent could levitate!

John hits NYC? I hope it doesn't hit back!

John! Remember to signal your turn properly!

John hits the big city!

Dad comes for a whirlwind visit tomorrow. Adventures to ensue!

For all of you out there who are computer junkies, here is a story that could make you think twice before sitting at the computer for one of those late night surfing sessions.

Your computer could be killing you !!!!!

My Young Democrat amigos found the Coleman/Liv pic "creepy."
Swedes in Space!

Just an interesting link I came across a while ago:

Includes links to the Swedish Space Program!
Oh, and Liv, when you look at the picture, it looks like you're actually leaning to the right? hmmm
An interesting site having to do with Jesus, the Shroud of Turin and other topics..

Famous Birthday! 8/17!

Doing some political research, Liv discovered she shared a birthday with one of her Senators! I put their pictures together and look! They even have the same smile!

Note: Liv wants me to point out that, in order to construct this picture, her Senator's image had to be flipped so it tilted to the left, just like her....

Hi all. Just like Nancy, I started class too. I'm taking Cultural Arts Reporting on Monday nights. In fact I should be thinking of story ideas right now. Dad comes to visit me on Friday. Its cold here but not Minnesota cold. Well, I thought I had more news but I guess I don't. Hope everyone is doing well!
Travelin' Anderson
With Teresa off in San Antonio, we're doing our best to get by. Tonight Norris prepared us a great meal!

Minute steak with cheese and toast. Oven fries. Salad with
cottage cheese and pineapple. Also shakes and Vanilla (diet) Cokes.

Koko does his best to last through this bleak time - looking suspicously out the back gate
when he is in the back yard ("Where IS she?"), or curled up, trying to sleep the time away
before she returns.

(He'll be happy to see discover he gets a trip to Red Wing on Wednesday!)
