believe it toots

somebody gave me a pipe tonight, so I am gonna be able to smoke lots more things now(if you know what I'm sayin). just kidding. but honestly, I think that pipes are pretty cool. they are better than cigarettes because they smell a lot better and you dont inhale and they dont have nicotene and stuff. so its pretty sweet. people like me and cs lewis are really into that kind of thing. well, have a goodnight everyone.

PETE'S UPDATE:

I received a picture of stevie and his new pipe (also wearing his monacle). Here he is..

Adult behavior?

I am shocked, Stevie! Perhaps you are trying all vices in case you get accepted to Bethel and have to take the pledge like Tom. Maybe you should take an entire "wild oats" year like Amish young men.

Our Anderson gift exchange last night just slipped in under the wire. We missed Epiphany, but today was the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, and officially, the last day of the Christmas liturgical season. You will have to celebrate something else when you get your present from Stevie, John.

Here is stevie after taking a drag on the cigarette. Not too good is it? :)

freedom

today, my eighteenth birthday, I bought some cigarettes and smoked them up real good. well, actually I only smoked one and I couldnt finish it cause it was too gross. I just bought them for the sake of buying them, not to smoke. the sad thing was, the guy didnt even card me, so it didnt matter that I was 18. whatever. goodnight.

Holiday wishes from the Georgia Andersons

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! We had a nice Georgia Anderson family reunion last weekend, but missed you all of course. Mae and I are now back at work but we had a nice break. I'm posting the family picture in lieu of a cute dog pic, until we get a cute dog.

Merry Christmas to one and all!

Happy 58th Birthday Dad!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas - and we'll see many of you tomorrow at my parent's house! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Indian Christians celebrate Christmas at the Church of
the Nativity, in Bethlehem. The Church is the site
traditionally believed by many to be the birthplace of
Jesus Christ.

'dey're so cute when 'dey're little.....

Merry Christmas from Mark, John and Paul in 1953.. (note: John says he thinks it is 1952).

Norwegian bounty

Liv's "friend" and his father stopped by this afternoon on the way home from their bakery. We are overwhelmed by Scandinavian goodies!

Happy Birthday Mark!!

Andersons Past

Paul has been working on a collection of old family photos which is quite impressive! He gave me a preview. Here is a picture of Ernest and Emil Anderson from around 1898 or so. Ernest was the grandfather of some of us Andersons.

Christmas @ the The Cheescake Factory

Last night the Anderson's of Minneapolis/Shakopee had a pre-Christmas Christmas celebration at The Cheesecake Factory. Mmmmm, the food sure was good. Hope to see you all on Christmas - and if not, Merry Christmas!

UPDATE: Here's Tom enjoying his new gift - the head-mounted laser gun. You're welcome Tom!

Joel, you've figured it out... your artists rendition was actually very close to how she actually looks. Here is an actual photo of Nala the Ewok princess. :) (watch out, it IS turning into cute dog blog.)

Dog.... or alien?

IS it possible that Nala is really an undercover Ewok?!?

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Liv! Go Northfield! That's awesome--I wish you the best of a collegiate career at the school across the river. Have a tea at Blue Mondays for me, and don't spend too many nights at the Reub.

Ingrid

P.S. Nala is so cute! So is Koko. This is going to turn into the cute dog blog soon.

Um Ya Ya

For those who might not understand the Um Ya Ya reference, that is St. Olaf's "fight" song... the only one in the nation written in waltz tempo. To read the words or listen to a rendition, go to: http://www.stolaf.edu/about/umyahyah.html
